update!
POSTED AT 11:36 AM

First of all, Happy Chinese New Year!!
May your angpow multiply. Haha.
As I write this, I'm also attempting to put to computer screen my jottings from Planning Camp. *Sigh* Have I told you how I hate minutes?

The past week. Hmm...
Friday, Jan 28
CoUZ, then sleep over. Went to the Curve the next day with the others. Lunchies, then back to Setapak, where I started crashing in Charis House.
Too much church
CoUZ on friday night, then YA at Metro Tabernacle on Saturday night, and then visited Setapak Gospel Centre on Sunday morning. After the main service, they had a combined youth meeting at TMGC. I was like "woah... 4 services in one weekend... am I nuts?" But it was interesting. SGC was interesting. Haha.
Planning Camp
Feb 1 -4. Still have minutes. I said I'd get it out yesterday. Argh.
early morning craziness!
Followed my uncle back from KL to Penang. We left at 5 am, and reached in time for breakfast at 8.30am. Sleepiness. Youth meeting at night.
I'm an aunty!
If you haven't heard this yet, I have a super-chuntedly cute niece. Wheeee.... hahahhaa. Yeps, me cuzzie Ee Lynn and hubby Michael Ridgers are back for CNY with little kiddo Danielle. *sigh* She's a nice, smiling kid. Gonna be one on the 13th. And so.. that's it.
As usual, I have things to say, but I don't know how to say them. And I have that idiotic minutes on my mind. Ergh.
So, happy CNY. I'll be updating again soon, I think. Heh.

Friendship Factor
POSTED AT 01:58 PM

This could qualify for a postdate, but oh well.
Visited a youth group, and found myself sitting alone. Something somehow, needs to be done about youth groups. Everyone's so busy in their little jobs, and busy with their little circles, that newcomers are often forgotten. It's still something I need to learn myself.
Need to learn to talk to new people or those who sit alone, even if you have to go in twos or threes to do that.
You know, to learn to be friendly and inclusive.
They said to write down your vision. And I do. I want to write a new book. I want to write a new song.
But for now, I want to change my CF.
I'm crazy, and I know it. Aren't we all?
That little church question has decided to rear its head again. I thought I'd settled it. Ergh. Does that mean that I've been making the wrong choice?

February 11th, 2005

ah. :)
POSTED AT 12:00 AM

Good day.
Finished minutes, managed to sneak in some Runescape, finally updated blog.
Had a nice dinner, with nice ice-cream, and then watched The Incredibles (again) at uncle Mike Lyon's with superb surround sound and LCD screen. It's almost like a movie theatre... better, actually.
Aaaaahhhh.
Central Zone open house at Logan tomorrow. See you there?

POSTED AT 10:43 PM

Don't know what to say, don't know what to do.
Haha. Go read stuff at fictionpress, k?
That's a good reader. Haha.
Haven't fireplaced for a long time, and in some weird way, feel as if I'm in some sort of denial. Oh well. Work starts Tuesday! Sigh.

book review: ERAGON [Christopher Paolini]
POSTED AT 05:54 PM in book review

I am amazed. Jaw-droppingly, heart-breakingly amazed, to think that this 495 page fantasy book was written by a 15 year old kid. Aaaarrrggghhhh. To quote Joel, some ppl are so talented it's indecent. He's an idiot genius, and I don't like geniuses. Can you tell? Sigh. But it offers hope. Haha. (Okay, let's stop being jealous, shall we?)
Putting jealousy aside, some things I noted about the book and the author:
1) he obviously let Tolkien influence him too much, using similar sounding names and words, such as Eragon, Arya, Gil'ead, Isidar Mithrim.
2) his concept of dragons and power are rather like those of Ursula Le Guin, with the use of a pure "ancient language" where the user can't lie, and the use of true names to gain power over people and elements.
3) Some parts were kind of predictable, but then again, it could be because it's meant to be a kid's book anyways.
For more info, surf on to www.alagaesia.com as I don't feel in the least bit inclined to write a proper review of the book. The most I'll tell you is that it's a good read, and you have to wait for the sequel to come out as its supposed to be the first book of a Trilogy.

work work work work work
POSTED AT 08:04 PM

First day at work. Extremely blur, and feeling awfully weird, especially when no one seemed to know what to do with me. Oh well. Haha.

February 17th, 2005

*sigh*
POSTED AT 08:07 PM

... . . . . . . . . .
*speechless*
i DON'T want to be responsible. I wanna be a BRAT. Why can't I? Tomorrow's Friday. YAY. I dunno. It's okay at work, but for some reason, I always feel like some slow, bumbling anti-social idiot. And everybody speaks in Hokkien. Eeerrrrgghhh.
frus frus frus frus frus
Finally sent in the stuff for Silverfish. Sitting with fingers crossed. Hehe. And I got SoulTsunami from Pastor HC. At the same time, I'm also reading 7 Laws of the Learner (why la my dad must ask me to read?!?!) and Woman to Woman.
*sigh*
=/

sigh
POSTED AT 11:57 PM

1) My computer died. Sometime Thursday night / Friday morning. Stuuuuuuuup. Compie, I miss you already! *sniff* Am now on me dad's irritating lappie. Irritating, cos I don't like the keyboard, and I don't like the weird mouse thingy. Tomorrow will be attempting rescue of my writings files and David's geography project by use of external hard drive and dad's lappie. Pray dad's lappie doesn't die. I am SO going to upload everything into my yahoo briefcase. Urgh.

2) March 11!!! If you don't know what that is... call me!! Hahaha. Excited. Youth with a Difference. Come on, fireBRANDs, make that true. Really BE different.

3) I will be away. I will be away. I am going to SP on Monday morning until Thurs night... whheeeeee... *scarified* Doing external audit... following the team. AAAArrrggghhh... I barely know them. Oh well.

4) There is no number 4. I think I'm done. I'll see you when I see you, and I'll update when... when... sigh.

February 25th, 2005

withdrawal symptoms, anyone?
POSTED AT 12:39 PM

No progress on retrieving my *sniff sniff* documents. Apparently, using my dad's external hard drive thingy, he can access everything except My Doc, where my CF minutes and my writings are stored. Sigh. *sniff*

Other than that, I am seriously broke. Have not gotten pay yet, and besides that, my colleagues spend a lot of money on food. SP was okay. Kind of fun. Ever noticed that the people who love singing the most can't sing? Hahahhahahaha. Shhhhhhh.

SP again on Sunday till next Thursday. The whole week I was dreaming of a cyber cafe. Heh. Notti anna. Shouldn't be addicted. I wanna play ruuunneescapppe.

nerdiness
POSTED AT 11:04 AM

I am nerdier than 37% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

[blanked out]
I'm so out of practice at blogging, that I keep forgetting what I want to say. Will be off again Sunday till Thursday or so. Me comp is apparently working... I think. Heh. Still on the lappie cos its already on, and I'm about to go out so I'm too lazy to turn on me own comp.

Yesterday was be-lazy-day. Almost finished Ivanhoe, wasted time online, and managed to blog. Uh... yeah, had a nice dinner with my extended family at Cherry Sweet. Thai Food... yeah. Me thinks that me should start writing on paper as well, or I'll keep forgetting everything.
