I know this is mean, but *phew* he wasn't at cf. Muahahahhahahahaahha.

CF was cool. Isn't it always? Hahaha.. so shoot me, I'm biased.

We (Jong Chern, Edrian, me) had an interesting recording session for about half an hour at Jong Chern's church (Melawati Gospel Centre) this afternoon (before my afternoon class). There was a bass, a drum and a voice. Hahahah. But it was fun!

some nonsense to occupy you.

The True You

You want your girlfriend or boyfriend to be more relaxed, calm, and composed.
With respect to money, you spend as little as possible.
You think good luck doesn't exist - reality is built on practicalities.
The hidden side of your personality tends to be methodical in your ways - with trouble adapting to the rules of society.
You are tend to think about others' feelings a lot, perhaps because you are so eager to be liked.
When it comes to finding a romantic partner, you don't have any particular type in mind, but you are inclined to look for someone who will say yes when you ask him / her out.

thinky thots
POSTED AT 11:58 AM

That sounds so Sharlene. Sorry. Haha

Was just reading Joshua 17. You know the part where the "Joseph" tribes tell Joshua that they just don't have enough land? They ask him "Why didn't you give us more land? We have too many people!" So Joshua replied, "Since you have so many people, just go up to the hill country of Ephraim and conquer it." "Not enough! And we can't go to Jezreel Valley because they have iron chariots and are so strong!" They wail.

Joshua, fed-up as I can imagine, tells them off with, "Hey, look here: There are so many of you! You're a great people! You need more room! Tell you what, take all the hill country - but you'll have to clear the trees. And I'll give Jezreel Valley to you - you'll be able to drive those Canaanites out."

Okay, so didn't think of it, happily went to the toilet. And yes, those toilet moments came again.

Solomon shared a testimony at the first CG about how he was serving God in the CF, and how God did a miracle for him in "highlighting" areas that he should be studying, turning his F's into A's and B's. And sometimes it's like, "You did that for others... why not for me! I want A's too!"

And it's like *spleteh*. Hello. Look here! You're smart! You have brains! You want A's? Tell you what... move your lazy bum AND GO STUDY!

Hahahahaha. Don't we always want the easy way out?

*sniff*

Read this for a laugh. Doesn't it sound so familiar?

Having said that, it's time I moved.

Toodles.

Wiggles fingers in a Casey-like manner.

[edit:12.54pm]

Thought you would like to know that this is the end of week 6, and that means half the semester is gone. Exams start on week 15... but before that, we're having an audit test next week because the lecturer wants to gauge our level of answering. Hai. I know nothing! Hahahahahaha -not good-

perspectives
POSTED AT 04:39 PM

Working people would look at a coming weekend and go "Yay, I can enjoy myself!" A student, on the other hand, sees the weekend fast approaching and goes "What on earth just happened to my week? What a waste of time!" (or alternatively, exams are getting nearer!)

At least, that was what I was thinking of as I was walking back from Moral class anyway.

I wonder why some people in the hostel have never heard of hangers. They hog up the whole drying line. A towel or bedsheet that can't possible fit on a hanger is fine... but shorts and t-shirts? Sheesh. As you can tell, I saved rm2 today by not using the dryer, on account of it being extremely sunny (read: very hot).

Watch for more [edits] after my bath.

[Edit:6.15pm]

Nopes, nothing much in terms of bathroom thoughts today, but I just wanted to say how thankful I am for this girl named Rach who keeps reviewing my Jer uploads on fictionpress! And I'm not even sure if I know who she is... which Rachel? Rachael? Teehee. If you're here, give a wave!

whee for power cuts
POSTED AT 01:46 PM

Woke up groggily for 8.30am class this morning. Sat through nearly two hours of class when... *poof* wheeee!

ELECTRICITY CUT!

Hahahahahahahahahah... and the lecturer said, "see, that's an example of key operations. Without the LCD, we can't continue the class." Heh.

Hostel had no power either, so went over to JJ house at TBR. Managed *some* reading before... *poof*  grumble, grumble, sigh.

So went for lunch at Desa Setapak - *yay, got power*

After lunch found hostel with power. Don't know about college though. Should I bother going for class later?

 [edit: 3.47pm]

I knew I should't have gone! I walked aaaallll the way, to find out that there's still no electricity, and class is cancelled! And I even lugged these two heavy books to return to the libe.

And to make things even worse, just as I was going to come back IT STARTED RAINING HEAVILY. Good thing I had my umbrella, but then me bag's still soaked, and my pants are all muddy. *sniff*

quickie
POSTED AT 12:59 PM

this is just a quickie.. gotta rush off for group discussion... I'm late!

Uh... apparently main source of power in Setapak is somewhat disrupted, and TNB is trying to fix it, so we're all running on generator, hence the frequent (and short) power cuts in the hostel. I have nothing to say about yesterday's whole day blackout at college though. So this means that I won't really be leaving the comp on, until they say they've sorted it out. So, no long chats... Hahahaha...

Background will be edited again soon, since I know how now... Haha.. but wait lah.

Repeat after self: anna, you're so stuuuuupid.

I need this little piggy notebook that I left in Penang. And stupidly, I go and ask "when's uncle Darren coming up to KL?" when JOSH AND FRAN ARE COMING TODAY. Ergh. So now I have to wait until the END OF THE MONTH to get it, when I could have gotten it tomorrow.

*SIGH*

Let's repeat that again: stuuuuuupid.

[edit:10.00am]

Just read my mail. Josh is sick and not coming. =(

Get well soon, Josh!

Stupid phone bill. Put me in a bad mood.

I'm not going to remind you about CF anymore. I'm not going to remind you about church anymore. I don't care that you don't have credit anymore. I'll go on my own alone if I have to. But if you wanna come, you better call me yourself.

And you means ALL of you.

Sigh. I wish the CF people could possibly read this. As it is, we'll go by WOM, the old fashioned way.

Let me repeat the words always flung at me: I HAVE NO CREDIT. YOU CALL. HAH.

p/s... what site is good for free smses?

I dunno how to do audit! *sniff*

To console myself... I reached 8903 words on my attempted "novel". I have looooong ways to go. It's turning out to be another teen romance / angst thing. I wish I could write literature.

On other things, I'm planning to review East of Eden (John Steinbeck) for my coll's book review competition. Can't find any online versions, so I guess I'll have to go to the library and borrow it again.

I love this song!! Wheeee

"Everything Impossible" (MercyMe)

I was taught to be practical in everything I do
Holding on to what is tangible, and then came You
That's when I found myself so far away, from everything I knew
I took a leap of faith

Even though You're difficult for me to explain
I know I'll never be the same

You're everything I cannot see
You're everything I cannot say
I know it all seems so illogical
But that's okay
You're the love You give to me
You're the love I give away
You are everything impossible
And that's okay

That's okay!

All the things that make no sense to me, draw me to You
Like finding freedom by surrendering, can it be true
With everything I can and cannot know
This mystery is bringing life to me

And all this love I have for You I can't contain
I know I'll never be the same

You're everything I cannot see
You're everything I cannot say
I know it all seems so illogical
But that's okay
You're the love You give to me
You're the love I give away
You are everything impossible
And that's okay

That's okay

What's so hard to understand
What I cannot comprehend
Is that You love me the way I am

You're everything I cannot see
You're everything I cannot say
I know it all seems so illogical
But that's okay
You're the love You give to me
You're the love I give away
You are everything impossible
And that's okay

And that's okay

POSTED AT 10:15 PM

Went to Alexis on Friday night for the songwriters round 18 thingy. I forget their names, but I was really impressed.

instrumental guy

The first guy only did instrumental. It was really nice. And he had really funny / cute facial expressions to go with it. Hahaha... There was this "ketuk-ketuk" song that Trix and I couldn't help but laugh at because he kept making the weirdest faces. (The second pic is one of those...) and he was like slamming his guitar all over... I think he's currenly back on hol from Berkeley - the music college uni thingy.

shelley and instru guy  @ the piano

Okay, so next was Shelley Leong. Only girl, and the one I actually wanted to listen to, so of course I remember her name! She started off playing the guitar. One of the songs, she got the instrumental guy to play for here, and on the second set, she shifted to the piano. *sigh* She's really pretty. Her songs are nice - but I think she should stick to singing the low ranges. The high ones sound a bit... I dunno... didn't really like the tone. Haha. =P

chinese singer

The next two weren't very memorable. The one on the left sang mainly chinese songs. They were nice, though... and usually quite catchy. The English songs he did were also very nice. The one beside him is his cousin or something. Don't really remember much of him... he only played in the first set.

the Voice

The final guy... His voice is super chunted! Wahahah... And he has this nice, deep set eyes... and his songs are also very nice. Pity I don't know his name. =/

Yeah.

More pix here

the past
POSTED AT 11:26 AM

I figured I mentioned Friday, but I didn't say a thing about Saturday. Hm. Saturday I went to this church called YouthBelieve. The setting and everything was really cool... but I dunno... I just had this impression of them really trying too hard to be young. It's undignified. Hahahahaha... but they were really friendly and stuff.
We were leaving the place and passed by this coffeeshop on the way to my car when we sort of "saw" a fight. Freakiness! This guy started yelling and whacking up the other with a plastic chair. I think the chair broke too... apparently over a girl (we think). Haha... we walked faster after that.

The sixth book written, you're nevertheless the first chronologically. You not only describe the creation of Narnia and tell where the White Witch, the lampost and the wardrobe came from, you get to bounce between worlds with the help of Uncle Andrew's weird magic rings.

Find out which Chronicles of Narnia book you are.

if wishes were fishes...
POSTED AT 10:44 PM in thoughts as a favorite post

Ray was blogging about what women want in men the other day (okay, so quite a few other days ago).

I was just thinking...

I want...

A matured guy. Spiritually, so he can take my hand and lead me on... Emotionally, so that being a rather emo girl I don't have to deal with an emo guy. Haha. Physically... I'd rather have him my age or one or two years older (Should be that physically or chronologically?) but if he's mentally matured enough, I guess that doesn't really matter. Okay, change that to mentally matured then. So I don't have to deal with a kid. He should be covering me, not me having to mother him. Haha.

I guess I want a theological, deep kind of guy. So we can have deep, satisfying discussions. I guess when I say this, I also mean that I need him to be a well-read person (to make up for my ignorance real and feigned) and someone who can critique fairly stuff that I write.

I'd like him to be musical. It would be totally neat if we could write songs and perform together. Haha... cut an album together. *dreams on*

He should also be an artsy person. So even if he doesn't act / dance (which I might or might not continue pursueing, I dunno) he can at least enjoy watching it.

Other things (but not so important) would include things like being taller than me, being able to kill cockroaches, being able to fix computers and printers, buying mangoes and chocolates and being general rubbish bin for foods I don't eat. Haha.

All in all, I'd just say, he needs to be someone I can really connect to, for both the deep and the shallow.

I made a birthday wishlist too. *winks*

*sniffle*
POSTED AT 09:38 AM

After weeks of ignoring the "scratchiness" and occasional weird feelings in my throat, it's come in full force. I'm sick. I blew out a big yellow blob of phlegm from my nose this morning. Wait. Is it still called phlegm if it comes out of your nose?

Haha... anyways, the bad thing about this flu bug, is I think it comes with a tummy bug. I've been... purging the past week. Bleh. Baaaad tummy. Nearly felt like vomiting last night, but Rebecca's wonderful advice on drinking Roibos tea took most of the discomfort away, so I didn't.

So maybe it isn't the water in the hot/cold dispenser. But mummy says don't drink it anyways. Wah. I want my cold water. The idea of a bug sounds more... feasible though, because Rebecca says she's been having the same thing since Sunday - and she doesn't drink dispenser water.

Come to think of it, I think this is like... the first time I'm sick in KL. Anyways so I'm off to wash me cups and go get another round of... Roibos tea!
