2008 POSTED AT 03:09 PM Flitter by, butterfly --- 2008 To do that which is necessary. Willing? I don't think it comes down to a matter of "are you willing or not?" now. It's boiling down to a matter of "so what are you going to do about it?" It's about taking the next step. And not knowing if you have the strength to take it. bored POSTED AT 11:28 PM Anna's definition of boredom: I have things to do. I just don't want to do them. So yes, I'm bored. And so yes, I'm back. And again, yes, I actually do have a lot of things to get done. Just not now. Gah. This isn't a good way to start the year, is it? *toddles off* |

oh yes. POSTED AT 12:06 AM I forgot. Or rather, I just decided. (Bad, indecisive me) See, a few of us old classmates decided to get together and get serious about reaching our classmates for God. And one of the things decided initially was to do with fasting every 2nd and 4th week of the month. Exactly what to fast was up to us individually. Some of them are doing the Daniel's fast. Which for me personally will involve certain food groups that I don't touch on a regular basis. And might involve semi-starvation. Which is not good during peak period. So. (Can you predict this yet?) Say hello to Internet fasting. It's amazing how much the Internet just sucks your life away. I'll see you next Monday. |

of weird updates... and the such POSTED AT 12:17 PM I found this, dated Feb 2006. So I thought I'd update it, very belatedly to reflect current situations. of things yet to be done:
I had a lot of very short term goals in 2006, didn't I? Everything left on the list are extremely long-term goals. Except maybe replying overdue e-mails. --- I used to think James Blunt's song "You're Beautiful" was a very nice, touching, wistful kind of song. Until my brother showed me the music video. And I realised for the first time, that it's suicidal. --- David's leaving today! Singing his swan song. Hahhahahahahahahaha. And making noise. --- I should do another to-do list one of these days. Listing only long term goals! Haha. Then again, it would probably involve a lot of things like "work", "work" and "work". |

ANTI-MAS! POSTED AT 10:18 PM The moral of the story is... DON'T fly MAS! David was supposed to be on the 7.35pm flight to KL to be able to take the connecting flight to Adelaide at 9plus. The thing was, on the way to the airport, we got a call saying that the 7.35pm flight was cancelled, and he was going to be put on the 8.30pm flight. Which would make him miss the Adelaide plane. So they'd made arrangements to put him on the connecting to Sydney and from there take ANOTHER connecting to Adelaide. *pening* So anyway, we reached the airport and asked if it was possible to change the KL flight to the earlier one (at 6.40pm) so that he could still take the Adelaide connect. After a LONG while, we finally got the 6.40pm flight, (some nice lady on standby was willing to give up her ticket for him) so they called up KL to check if his Adelaide flight was still okay. They had already sold his Adelaide ticket. Yeah, so he finally took the 8.35pm plane, which was delayed to 8.50pm, to KL to catch the 10.20pm flight to Sydney. This involves... getting KLIA staff to drive him (and several others, I believe) on a buggy from plane A to plane B and hope that all the luggage travels along as well. Then he has to check out of the international flight... and take a domestic flight to Adelaide, arriving there at 2.15pm instead of the original budgeted 7.15am (Adelaide times)! HAHA. Stupid MAS. --- And the computer is MINE... all MINE... muahahahahahahahahaha. --- Things that need to get done: 1) Mighty Warriors Easter play - script, anyone? 2) KDU Easter presentation - people, I need people! 3) project clear my mess - bah. 4) w.o.r.k. It's really a never-ending story. =/ |

Remembrance. POSTED AT 03:41 PM You were a memory Nian Ning, 2008. --- And grief touches us briefly as acquaintances, friends and family stop their lives momentarily. And yet, we still live as though tomorrow doesn't matter. And if tomorrow doesn't matter, what then can we say about eternity? |

another slice of life POSTED AT 11:44 PM Work is... crazy. Actually, work isn't THAT crazy, but if you compound peak + short deadlines + procrastination, now THAT's crazy. It isn't that I can't finish it. I can if I do some OT over the weekend. It's just that I OT so much during the week that I don't want to think over the weekend. So, the deadline is this: File A to be sent for review by FRIDAY (So I can enjoy Switchfoot to the max), File B to be cleared by next TUESDAY (So no one will chase me for it anymore), and File C is currently in progress, and looking fine! Hahahahaha. I'm uber looking forward to this weekend... Yay! So starting tomorrow I'm going to be extra hard-working and clear everything off my hands for a super-duper weekend, which will include Switchfoot, Altered Frequency and Acts Church! Woo hoo... Oh yes, and lots of friends too =D If only I weren't so lazy yesterday and today, things would have moved a little bit faster. Sigh. What to do? (switchfoot switchfoot switchfoot) I'm sorry that updates are sparse and stupid. I'm just preoccupied at the moment. Jobs are bad for your blog. Jobs are bad for your creative brain. Sigh. Ok. Bed looks good now. |
