What's this - chase the courier week? In the past week I have visited / will visit:

  • Era Baru (or something) before going down to KL
  • City Link this morning
  • Pos Laju later on today.

I don't know why these stupid courier services must always come when I am not in. Maybe because I am always not in. Gah. Stupid.

And it's crazy hot today.

nostalgia
POSTED AT 11:19 PM in thoughts

Those who are really called of God to the sacred ministry are such as have been brought to a deep acquaintance with themselves, feel their own ignorance, and know their own weakness. They know also the awful responsibility that attaches to the work; and nothing but the authority of God can induce such to undertake it.

The reluctance often shown by inspired ministers of God (Exo4:10; Exo6:12, Exo6:30; Jon1:3) to accept the call, shows that they did not assume the office under the impulse of self-deceiving fanaticism, as false prophets often did.

But then again, in the light of this, if you seriously worship God, and strive to bring your best to Him, His presence dwells in you, His glory manifests itself in you. In giving Him our worldly glory, He gives us the weight of His.

Jer 5:21 - 25

You fools! Why don't you listen when I speak? Why can't you understand that you should worship me with fear and trembling? I'm the one who made the shore to hold back the ocean. Waves may crash on the beach, but they can come no farther. You stubborn people have rebelled and turned your backs on me. You refuse to say, "Let's worship the LORD! He's the one who sends rain in spring and autumn and gives us a good harvest." That's why I cannot bless you!

We are disillusioned, because all that we thought dear are nothing, compared to the marvelousness of Him and what He intends to do in you.

He’ll continue knocking at your door, but he’s too gentlemanly to break the door down, if you shut it in His face.

And I will continue, 3 years after I started. There was wisdom in yesteryears. Will there be more now?

productive!
POSTED AT 12:49 PM

It's 12.37pm on a Saturday and I have already cleaned the upstairs of my house and washed my car! Yay!

It's probably NOT MUCH to many people... but this is ANNA... bum extraodinaire!

I am leaving downstairs to next week or the week after next. Hahaha... but I HAVE FOUND AND DISPOSED OF THOSE TWO IRRITATING COCKROACHES. Wheeeeeeeeeeee

Now I can sleep in peace. *phew*

Okay. I cheated when I washed my car. I'm too short to reach the top middle of it. So I just sprayed it then ignored it. But this is just temporary measure until I can get my car to a car wash anyways. I'm NOT that hardworking.

I apologise for the long intervals between blogging. I've been busy. Yeah. Let's see. On Sunday, I went for CLEY and then I had tea / dinner and random Batu Feringghi walk-around with some I-bridgers. Occasion? Jee Seng was in town for a Nestle meeting. Monday I was supposed to go back to the office to meet a manager, but we were having problems with our Fingertec system (door security) so he went home early. Tuesday was Ben day! Haha. Wednesday I got bullied by Khay Xin into recording a song with him, Joyce and Abigail at Hitz. Thursday... Thursday I bummed. Sorry KK. Well, I did wash my clothes. (Darn, still got ironing to do.) And Friday, I discovered... that Old Town Queensbay has WIFI... on the way to watching Wall-E with Yuin.

My hands are okay now. Apparently I was given pain-killers which I thought were the anti-inflammatory thingies that Sarah said I should take. Which is why I am not a doctor. But whatever works, eh?

Oh yes, and I expect to have a shocker post tomorrow.

Muahahahahahahahahaha.

Err... assuming that I survive the shock. :D

Till then, toodles.

It's shower and pasta time.

Reading: Kafka On The Shore
Listening to: random playlist - it's now Corinne Bailey Rae!
Feeling: satisfied

I-BRIDGE CAMP!
POSTED AT 12:30 AM

Edit: I took off some of the links as the camp peeps said that those online versions aren't functional yet! Like, duh. Then why announce it?

Forms are apparently up, but does not seem to be fully functional. Will post the link when I've found out how it works.

Oh wait. If you find out, you can tell me. So anyways, click here.

Official site here, but for some reason it seems to be down too. Or you can try this too. And yeah, it's on facebook too.

Haha. Enough yet?

Yeah, I'm done for now.

It has been a disappointing day, sort of, as follows.

And if you read in between the lines, you will know the shocker which didn't happen, but only if you know me well enough. Haha.

Yeah. So I have been watching NCIS and reading books.

Did I tell you about the popular book sale............

POSTED AT 11:36 PM

I hate this feeling of not wanting to do anything when I have things to do.

Gah.

I estimated that I could finish up my work by today. But I forgot to estimate in the lazy factor, seeing that everyone else is on offpeak.

So I will just have to work harder tomorrow for the deadline.

Sigh.

I am so not going to work now.

ugh
POSTED AT 10:49 PM

They have. erected. this stage. thing. outside my house. Sort of. At the other junction. The hidden one. And are playing endless chinese opera music. And clashing symbols. There are times. That I wish. my heritage. were far far far away.

Ugh.

I can. imagine. the smoke. of all those fat. dragoned. candles.

Ergh.

My windows are staying closed indefinitely. Or maybe I should blast my music really loud and open the windows and see if they get upset. Heh.

On other things, 4bia (watched some time last week) was an interesting show, mainly consisting of Daniel E and I laughing at Mark. I think it's like the first horror flick I watched since the one in KL that featured the Alpha apartment and the hospital. Haha.

And apparently it's a public holiday on Tuesday for Penangites for the Permatang Pauh elections. Let's hope the office recognises that.

wiggles!
POSTED AT 10:41 PM

Because I am fascinated with my toes...

toes

And yes, there should be something better to do with my time, which I did. Almost one year after i-bridge camp 2007, where I said that I should start writing again, if only to clarify things in my brain, I have written. The first fireplace issue in an extremely long time. To a new listing, edited from the old. Streamlined.

Speaking of streamlined, I need to streamline my reading practices. My reading list currently includes the following:

1. Father Brown Stories (Chesterton) when I'm eating out.

2. Stella Adler on Ibsen, Strindberg and Chekhov when I'm at my computer waiting for stuff to load.

3. Children of Men (PD James) on my bed.

4. The Lost and the Dreamer (i forget by who) in the loo.

5. The oversized Neal Stephenson (I'm forgetting the name, but it's the third (bk 5 & 6) in the baroque cycle) when I'm eating at home.

I think that's it.

But 5 at a go is high, even at normal times.

Sigh.
