My Storyteller
This is important to me, because when I wrote it, I felt like this really was God's message for me. I pray it speaks to all writers out there.
All stories are the same, child.
From generation to generation... from millennium to millennium, the story has not changed and it will not change. It flows in different languages, it carries different faces, and settings. The names are different, but its essence can never change.
The battle that captures men's hearts is always the same. Light against dark, good against evil, hope against fear, life against death. Sometimes there is one God, sometimes many, and sometimes there is only a life-giving force. Always, they fight against evil. They fight against lies... against the twisting of all that is good.
Always that... truth against lies.
But many of these storytellers do not know Me. And so their "truths" are but another lie. And yet... through thier lies are revealed many truths. The essence of the story is always the same, child. Love, hate, glory, shame, strength, fear and passion. It's the telling that's important. It is the telling of the story that makes it a mirror of the truth or another lie.
I need a spokesperson need My own storyteller. There have been many over the years, but too few now. You will be My storyteller for this generation.
But you are not ready yet. The words of men still grip your heart and you cannot be my true storyteller until you have cut your heart from them. Men's words will always grip your heart but they will not and must not influence you. My story must grip your heart the hardest. You must taste it, feel it, know it and understand it. Then it will be real to you.
You will not be ready to tell my story until you have known it as your life. You must learn to love My Book and my Word before all else. Then you will be ready for your task.
It's the same story that grips all men's hearts. It is your story and your life, and yet it is not.
You will be My storyteller, Daughter. You will speak My words... My story... to your generation.
You are My storyteller and I WILL NOT LET YOU GO.
